At Deltrian, we’re working with the Interfilter Group to raise awareness of the health risks of fine particles. Healthy indoor air is essential, but fine particles represent an often underestimated threat. The smaller the particles, the deeper they penetrate into the body, potentially causing health problems such as respiratory or cardiovascular disease.
Fine particles vary in size and can penetrate deep into the lungs, even reaching the bloodstream. This can lead to serious health problems, such as respiratory or cardiovascular disease. It is therefore crucial to keep their concentration in indoor spaces as low as possible through effective filtration.
Healthy indoor air starts with quality filtration. Filters must meet strict efficiency criteria to eliminate fine particles. At Deltrian, in partnership with Interfilter Group, we follow the Eurovent 4/23 directive, which recommends a minimum efficiency according to ISO 16890, depending on outdoor air quality (ODA) and location (SUP).
In most cases in Europe, a filtration efficiency of at least ePM1-70% is required to meet World Health Organization (WHO) health standards. However, we note that low-efficiency filters are still too often used, offering insufficient protection against harmful particles.
At Deltrian and Interfilter Group, we believe that awareness is the first step towards change. Through our Fijnstof Alarm campaign, we inform installers, end-users and stakeholders about the risks of unhealthy indoor air and the importance of quality filtration solutions.
We can’t do it alone. Together with our partners, we want to highlight the impact of fine particles and take concrete steps towards cleaner, healthier indoor air. We invite everyone to think along with us and work together to develop better filtration solutions.
This is just the beginning! In the coming months, we’ll be sharing more information, tips and solutions as part of the Fijnstof Alarm campaign.
